Perlis is the smallest state in Malaysia and is located on the north-west coast of Peninsula Malaysia. Its capital is Kangar. The state is the gateway to Kedah's Langkawi and Thailand. Popular destinations are Bukit Keteri Limestone Hill and a huge Sunday market at the Thai-Malaysian border at Wang Kelian. Perlis is also famous for its homegrown 'Harumanis' mango, which has a strong aroma and sweet taste, the Kuala Perlis Laksa, and various seafood dishes.
