The Malaysian Federal Territory of Labuan consists of a group of one large and six small islands off the shores of Sabah in Borneo. The six small islands are Pulau Daat, Pulau Burung, Pulau Papan, Pulau Kuraman, Pulau Rusukan Besar and Pulau Rusukan Kecil.
Labuan is known as an international offshore financial centre with major businesses like offshore financial banking institutions, steel mills, flour mills, methanol plant and so on.
Its other attractions includes the duty-free shopping, the beaches, bird park, World War II sites, wreak diving sites and is considered a world class sports fishing destination.
