Johor Darul Ta'zim lies on the southern most part of Peninsula Malaysia and is the gateway to Singapore linked by the Johor-Singapore Causeway. Its capital city is the bustling transportation hub, Johor Bahru, or also known as JB.
Local attractions are the coastal resort and golf courses of Desaru, the Endau Rompin National Park, the 34-metre waterfall at Kota Tinggi, the fishing village of Kukup, and the major diving spot of Pulau Dayang.
The town of Mersing is also the primary ferry gateway to Pahang state's Pulau Tioman, a popular resort island.
Must-try cuisines while in Johor are Laksa Johor, Mee Rebus, Mee Bandung Muar and Otak-Otak, to name a few. There are also some Javanese influenced dishes like Lontong and Nasi Ambeng.
