Directions: Public transport is accessible in Melaka. However it is always nice to have a local show you around when in Melaka. One can navigate using bus (but you may need to switch buses) and taxi (or get your local tour guide to take you by car) and head to Jonker Street. Jonker St is a popular tourist location so it would not be hard to make your way there. Operating Hours: 12:00PM - 8:00AM (Monday to Sunday) Despite Melaka being famous for their Gula Melaka-laden cendols, I must say that 88's Cendol has always been my all time favourite. The Gula Melaka (palm sugar in a form of brown syrup) is thick and sweet, and the amount of knick knacks they bury under the mountain of ice is incredibly generous. Try their Eight Precious Cendol- a normal cendol has basic ingredients but the Eight Precious is stuffed with other treats like jellies and nutmegs. It is a great way to take off the heat when you are in sunny Melaka. Date of visit: June 2010I would recommend this restaurant to: Budget travellers, Family with kids, Group of friends, Whole familyTags: Cendol; Aiskacang; Melaka; Malaysia; Food; Cheap; Delicious; Jonker
