Hey, is the Skytrain connection open now? Will be in BKK in April

SANANWAN PALACE BKK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FACT SHEET
Sep 2009 www.bangpli.com
The signs for "BUSES" in the airport take you down to the basement. There is little information there. I think it is better to go to the Bus Terminal where you can get good information. Long distance coaches (not local buses) do however pass through the basement area on route. The new Skytrain link to Bangkok city is scheduled to open in December 2009.
The Bus Terminal is NOT signed within the terminal but there is the occasional sign saying "SHUTTLE". It is not helpful for visitors as it does not say "SHUTTLE BUS TO BUS TERMINAL"
The shuttle bus stop at the airport is on the arrivals level between gates 5 and 6 just outside the air-conditioned terminal building.
The shuttle bus to the bus terminal is free and quite frequent.
An easy and sensible way to get to Sananwan Palace from the BKK International Airport is:
Go to the Bus Terminal where there is an ATM. Also a small shop. Travellers will need small change for any bus ticket. If you do not have small change go into the shop and buy a bottle of water or similar before getting on the bus. The shop also has Thai mobile SIM cards so that you can use the local mobile network.
To go to Sananwan Palace get on a 552 or 552Aand ask for
Homepro Bangpli Yai. “Homepro Bungpleee Yaii” The fare is 34 baht. The journey takes probably less than15 minutes. At Homepro which is also the Tesco Lotus store, next get a taxi, best to have the address written in Thai from thewww.bangpli.com site. The Sananwan Palace number for “English” is 0818644615. If you do not have a phone, taxi drivers usually have a mobile and they can ring for instructions if you have any problem.
