Valentine's Day is coming in four days whether you like it or not. Are you ready with the right gift for your Valentine this year? Or have you forgotten about it (well, still not too late today to fix the situation)?

Everyone has different opinions about the Big V-Day these days. And each has valid reason to love or loath it.

Those for Valentine's Day really go all out to celebrate the event. Some girls find that Valentine's Day would not be complete if it were not celebrated properly with roses and a romantic wine-and-dine. Basically the works! So boyfriends/fiances/husbands have their work cut out for that day.

Candlelight dinner for two, red roses, chocolate hearts, cutesy plush toys and whatever couple things out there are the order of the day. This is truly a special day to not forget about showing your love to your special Valentine. And probably a good time to propose marriage too - just to make the day extra special!

Unless, of course, you're anti-Valentine (No, you don't need to be broken-hearted or bitter about love to fall into this category) and whatever's mentioned above is merely commercialism at its best, where the true meaning of Valentine is warped. The rationalization is, who needs Valentine's Day to be the only time one makes effort to express "I Love You" to a loved one. That should be done every day!

Actually, over the recent years, sales of anti-Valentine cards and gifts have increased. Perhaps people preferred sarcasm and humor to the mushy lovey-dovey Hallmark-esque love notes. And more people are organizing singles parties, or rather opt to mark the event before or after February 14 instead of taking the lemming's route.

So whether you're Team Valentine's Day or Team anti-Valentine, all of us at Koolred hope you'll have a good day and weekend.
