Today marks the beginning of the second half of 2009, July 1. Six months has passed and boy, oh boy, did it passed with such drama. The month of June has charted a number of celebrity deaths and fake deaths to add into the controversy.

The most notable one being the death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, which spurred as much drama in life and in death. A number of us in the Koolred Team grew up listening to Michael Jackson's music. But then again, who hasn't heard of MJ and his influences on music and other musicians of today?

One Redster has already started a discussion about Jackson on the forum. Go and have your say about this iconic musician and entertainer there.

Jackson died of cardiac arrest at the age of 50 on June 25. The world mourns his death with tributes everywhere.

The odd thing that came up after Jackson's passing was news of other celebrity deaths which includes Harrison Ford, Jeff Goldblum and most recently, 80s British pop singer, Rick Astley. But these news were fake. Makes one wonder: What's up with June? Why the odd morbid trend? Who has found the time to fabricate all these fake deaths? Would we see more in July? One news that proved to be real was the death of actress Farrah Fawcett, known for her role as one of the original Charlie's Angels. She was 62 and succumbed to cancer on the same date as Jackson.

That said, let's hope for less drama on the second half of 2009. The countdown for Christmas and year-end holidays begins! Oh, and for the big news on Koolred too! *wink wink*

Have a good day!
