Did you know that come May 15 is International Day of the Families?
Well, honestly, we didn't either. Just stumbled upon it online which led to the
website of the United Nations Programme on the Family, Division for Social Policy and Development, UNDESA.
International Day of the Families (IDF) is one of the many worldwide observance event to observe common issues of international interest and concern as established by the United Nations General Assembly, Economic and Social Council or UNESCO. IDF was established in 1992 and it has become an event observed annually on May 15.
This year's theme is "Mothers and Families: Challenges in a Changing World", which focuses on the crucial role of mothers for families and communities around the world, and their invaluable contribution to raising the next generation.
We, at Koolred, salute all mothers and families as well this Friday for their timeless effort to shape the society of the future.
