The wait is over!
After a month of being treated to more than a hundred food reviews from all over Asia, Koolred is proud to announce the winners of the Asian Food Review Contest.

The contest kick started on 22 Feb and ended on 22 March, where contestants were asked to submit a creative food review on an Asian cuisine from any food establishment in Asia. The response definitely exceeded all of our expectations and we would like to thank all of you who took the time to savour, snap shots of your food and review about them on Koolred.

Without further ado, here are our winners for the Asian Food Review Contest:

1st Prize: Lui T from Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Lui's review "Khmer Food @ Trasak Paem" suggests that the Cambodian cuisine is a must-try! Her review is tailored to both the locals as well as to travelers in Cambodia. Trasak Pa-em Restaurant is the restaurant under the spotlight and Lui even managed to capture tantalizingly appealing photos of some of the mouth-watering food dishes that are widely-consumed in the country. She claims that anyone who tries Khmer food would "end up developing a gastronomic hankering for it". Well Lui, we hope you like Balinese cuisine too as you've won yourself a two-night stay at the stylish yet relaxing Alila Manggis in Bali, Indonesia. 

2nd Prize: Shanuki De Alwin from Colombo, Sri Lanka

If you love spicy food then this is the review for you. Before delving straight into Sri Lankan food, Shanuki starts her "Spicy Cabin" review by giving a heads up on what to expect from her local cuisine: "It made Ian Wright (of the Globe Trekker travel series) giggle with glee and (travel chef) Anthony Bourdain's cameraman drop his equipment". Doesn't that just intrigue you? The establishment Spicy Cabin in which Shanuki bases her review on is given a detailed insight- from the interior of the restaurant to the various zesty curry pastes that are served to diners. Spicy food's not the only thing that will make Shanuki's face flush as she's won a complimentary one-night stay at LUXX XL Hotel in Langsuan, Bangkok.

3rd Prize: Yafieda Jamil from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Just like Lui and Shanuki, Yafieda speaks highly of her country's local cuisine as well. Other than providing thorough directions to the "Nong & Jimmy Thai BBQ Restaurant", Yafieda also pointed out the specialties in this Malaysian restaurant. Keeping it short and sweet, the review is also accommodated by photos of seafood dishes (the butter prawns photo makes us drool) served that are sure to arouse your appetite! The seafood restaurant seems to have it all- affordable price, great/ efficient service and finger-licking good food. We thank you for sharing this eatery with us and we're awarding you that one-night stay at LUXX Hotel in Silom which is also located in the capital of Thailand.
